ARJUNO - 34k

The Steep Elevation Trail

ARJUNO34k has the highest mountain level, which is 11 out of the highest 13. This is the trail where the inclination becomes your “best friend”. The distance is only 34 km, but it comes with the elevation gain of 3050 m, this route is like red hot chilli : small, spicy, and makes people suffer.

This route forms a perfect loop (which is cool). You will not cross the same point twice, except for the start and finish point.

The trail is as follows :
– Start running through Kaliandra / Tretes / Welirang Hut path, the same as WELIRANG38k. The distance is 12 km non-stop with an elevation gain of 2300 m. The COT is at 5 hours and 30 minutes.
– Continue to Twin Peak No. 1 with the altitude of 3040 m, where you may start questioning yourself for choosing this extreme path.
– Descend to Sadelan and continue to the steep trail of Twin Peak No. 2 to finally be greeted by Lalijiwo Forest after.

Lalijiwo Forest is the segment that will change your definition of the word “short”. The total distance of this area is only 2 km, but with the elevation gain of 700 m, the journey upwards would FEEL like you ran an extra 20 km.

Along the trail, from Twin Peak No. 1 to Mt. Arjuno’s Peak, you’ll be able to enjoy breath-taking sunrise in the sea of clouds. Be sure to lookout for our photographers ready to capture your epic moments.

Relieved for making it to the top of Mt. Arjuno? Just continue downhill from Arjuno to Sepilar Temple. High gradients and technical trails will make you think, “How was the uphill trail before felt much easier than this?”. Also don’t forget that along this segment there are historical sites that you will pass through until Putuk Lesung.

Make sure racers are fully prepared. 15 hours are all you’re going to get to complete this route. Practice!

WELIRANG - 38k

The Volcanic Trail

This trail is 38 km long, elevation gain of 2750 m, with COT 15 hours. Start exactly at midnight, enjoy the trail while being illuminated by stars and headlamps. The challenge starts from the first 12 km towards Welirang Hut, where you have to conquer the vertical gain of 2300 m without any downhill to reward you – this is a continuous climb. Maximum time of 5 hours and 30 minutes. After that, continue another 3 km to the top of Welirang, with additional vertical gain of 400 m.

When you reach the top, your fatigue and hardships will be rewarded with a majestic view of the sunrise. Just be careful, don’t get too busy with selfies / taking pics and forget to get down again.

38 km route with elevation gain of 2750 m, midnight trekking, and the terrain that makes calves scream. This category requires a strong physical, tough legs, and a mental that is not easy to give in. That’s why the prequalification in this category is pretty strict. It is so that participants are ready and can finish healthy, not to “finish” with the sweeper.
